Music Reading Course

About The Course

Only 15 spots available.

This course is specially designed for any singer or musician who wants to learn how to read and understand the language of music.
Over this five-week course, we will be covering a host of music-related topics such as
how to read chord charts and chords, what time signature, key signature, and tempo
mean, how to count measures and rhythm, note reading, vocal lines versus
accompaniment lines, dynamic signs, what a major scale is and how to construct it, how to communicate with other musicians using music lingo, etc.
If you want to be able to have a better understanding of what key you are in or what measure you are at or what the first and second endings are or how to count rhythm or read notes then this class is designed for you!
Being a musician or singer and not being able to read music is like speaking your native language but not being able to read it.
If you want more confidence as a musician or singer, learning how to read the symbols you already know how to play and sing, then join us for this five-week course. Hurry, space is limited.  Sign up now!

I highly recommend Jodi’s Online Music Reading Course. She is an excellent and very
dedicated teacher, answering any questions with clarity and patience. Information and
exercises/practical application were well balanced.

Claudia R.

I decided to take this course in order to fill in the gaps of my (musical) understanding.
Jodi logically layered topics as we went along to build an understanding of the musical
language. It was logical and well presented. Jodi’s use of well-known songs to
illustrate the concepts made it enjoyable and easy to follow. Highly recommended.
